Ms. Carlène BUKURU

Secretary General

Ms. Carlène is the Co-Founder and Secretary General of the Save Environment Initiative (SEI). She holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies with a specialization in Rural Development and completed her secondary education in Animal Health and Husbandry.

A passionate environmental advocate, Carlène has played a key role in advancing SEI’s mission through environmental awareness, conservation, tree planting, and community engagement initiatives. She is also a registered Veterinary Technician with the Rwanda Council of Veterinary Doctors, reflecting her commitment to both environmental sustainability and animal welfare.

Through her leadership, advocacy and dedication to community-based conservation, she continues to promote sustainable development, biodiversity protection, and environmental stewardship in Rwanda.
