Mrs. Josiane NIYONSENGA
Programs Manager
Mrs. Josiane is the Co-Founder and Programs Manager of the Save Environment Initiative (SEI). She holds a diploma Wildlife Management, Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management and Conservation and is a Master's degree in Environmental Economics and Natural Resources Management.
With professional experience as an environmentalist in the mining sector, she is committed to promoting sustainable resource management and environmental stewardship. At SEI, she leads environmental education, tree planting, wetland conservation, and community engagement programs that empower local communities to take action for environmental protection.
Josiane is also a published researcher and author of The Impact of Mining Activities on Land Use and Land Cover Change in Rwamagana District, the Case of Muhazi Sector, Rwanda, a study that examined how mining activities have influenced land use patterns and environmental conditions in the area.
Passionate about conservation and she believes that collective action and community involvement are essential to building a greener and more resilient future.
